Vancouver-born actress-dancer Stephanie Moseley found dead in Los Angeles

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 09 Dec, 2014 11:14 AM

TORONTO — A Canadian star of the VH1 drama series "Hit the Floor" about NBA cheerleaders has died in what Los Angeles police say was an apparent murder-suicide.

Vancouver native Stephanie Moseley was 30.

A statement from Los Angeles police says officers responding to a gunshot call arrived at an apartment complex early Monday and heard more shots.

Police say their initial investigation suggests Moseley’s 34-year-old husband, rapper Earl Hayes, shot Moseley and then took his own life.

Both Moseley and Hayes were pronounced dead at the scene.

Moseley’s website says she moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and was soon dancing with such stars as Britney Spears and Janet Jackson on their tours.

Prior to her role on "Hit the Floor," Moseley appeared in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," "Mirror Mirror" and "Sparkle."
