  • Warrant Issued For Surrey Man Charged With Murder Of Nicholas Khabra

IHIT is seeking public assistance to locate 27-yr-old Brandon Nathan Teixeira for 1st degree murder in the shooting death of Nicholas Khabra on Oct23 2017 in Surrey. Teixeira is believed to be extremely violent.

“He may be hiding, he may be evading the police, he may be hiding out of sight from really everybody,” said IHIT Cpl. Frank Jang.

“But we’re hoping because now that the community knows, now that they know his name or his photograph, if they spot him if they have a glimpse of him, that’s huge for us, that’s a starting point for us.”

The shooting of Khabra took place in the early morning hours of Oct. 23, 2017.

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 14300-block of Crescent Road at 2:10 a.m.

They found Khabra suffering from gunshot wounds and he was transported to hospital where he later died.

Khabra also had a criminal history. In 2011, he was arrested by the gang task force and charged with a number of firearms offences. Within days, those charges were withdrawn.

Two years earlier in 2009, he was handed a six-month conditional sentence for dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the IHIT Information Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
