WATCH: Horses Work To Prevent Theft From Autos In Stanley Park

Darpan News Desk , 09 Jun, 2017 11:09 AM
The Vancouver Police Mounted Unit is continuing its mission to combat property crime in Stanley Park.

This weekend, VPD Mounted Unit officers, along with Park Rangers and volunteers from the West End Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre, will be raising awareness and educating visitors in the park on how to avoid being a victim of theft.

“Thieves are opportunists and will steal anything,” says VPD Constable Jason Doucette. “Remember to remove everything from you vehicle, regardless of its value. Don’t tempt a thief.”

Visitors to the park are reminded not to leave any valuables in their car. Anyone who sees suspicious activity in the park is asked to report it to police immediately.
