Surrey RCMP were on scene in the District 2 area of Guildford in Surrey for a report of shots being fired.
At approximately midnight on Sunday, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 16200 block of 80th Avenue.
A male suffering from injuries was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted/isolated incident and involves parties known to each other.
The first Vancouver incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. at the Marine Gateway Liquor Store, near Southwest Marine Drive and Cambie Street. The employee called 9-1-1, and the suspect fled before getting any money. About half an hour later, the same man entered the London Drugs at Granville and Georgia streets and allegedly demanded cash.
