Surrey RCMP were on scene in the District 2 area of Guildford in Surrey for a report of shots being fired.
At approximately midnight on Sunday, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 16200 block of 80th Avenue.
A male suffering from injuries was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted/isolated incident and involves parties known to each other.

Witnesses intervened and came to the aid of the older victim, then called Vancouver Police. Responding officers were able to arrest the suspect before he left the area. Neither victim suffered serious injuries.
More than 150 youth had gathered in the park – many of which were under the influence of alcohol and other intoxicants. One youth climbed on to a police car, attempting to damage the cruiser.
