Surrey RCMP were on scene in the District 2 area of Guildford in Surrey for a report of shots being fired.
At approximately midnight on Sunday, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 16200 block of 80th Avenue.
A male suffering from injuries was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted/isolated incident and involves parties known to each other.
Police located one male victim suffering from gun shot wound. The male has been transported to local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Burnaby Frontline officers attended the scene and confirmed the remains to be human. At this time, police suspect the person to be a victim of foul play.
