Whistler RCMP Investigating Death Of 18-Year-Old On Blackcomb Mountain

    WHISTLER, B.C. — Whistler RCMP are investigating the death of an 18-year-old skier on Blackcomb Mountain.
     
    A statement from Whistler Blackcomb says mountain patrol was notified of an injured man in a cliff area at around 3 p.m. Saturday.
     
    Nine patrollers, two Whistler Blackcomb doctors and one paramedic responded but found the young man unresponsive and unconscious.
     
    He was pronounced dead at around 3:40 pm.
     
    Whistler Blackcomb says the skier was not from the Whistler area and was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
     
    RCMP arrived on the scene after the skier was pronounced dead and are currently investigating.
