HALIFAX — Environment Canada says parts of the Atlantic region are in for another dose of winter weather this weekend.

Warnings for heavy snow and freezing rain have been issued for eastern Newfoundland on Saturday.

Up to 20 cm of snow is expected to fall in some parts of the province by Sunday morning.

In Nova Scotia, snow is forecast to be heaviest along the Atlantic coast where up to 15 cm is expected in some areas.

Environment Canada says there is a chance of flurries in parts of P.E.I. and New Brunswick through Saturday night, but little snowfall accumulation is expected in those provinces.
