A woman is dead and a man has been injured in a shooting in Surrey, B.C., in what police say was not a random act.
Police were called Thursday morning to a home after reports of gunshots being heard.
One woman is dead and one male injured following a shooting inside a residence this morning in North Surrey. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (@HomicideTeam) has been called and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP.

Officers found a woman in grave condition and a man suffering non-life-threatening injuries inside the home.
IHIT is heading out to its 2nd deployment in the last 12 hours. A man and woman were shot at a home this morning around 730am in the area of 108 Ave and 139A St in #SurreyBC. The woman has since died.

Both were taken to hospital, but police say the woman died of her injuries.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called to help with the investigation.
