Woman Recovering From Serious Injuries After New Westminster Pit Bull Attack

The Canadian Press, 23 Jul, 2015 11:06 AM
NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. — A woman is being treated in a Metro Vancouver hospital for what are believed to be serious head and facial injuries after being mauled by a dog.

Residents of a New Westminster, B.C., apartment building called police early Thursday morning about a barking dog and sounds of a fight in a neighbouring suite.

Investigators say they found the injured woman when they arrived, along with a man who had also been bitten.

The dog, possibly a pit bull, has been seized.

The condition of the woman is not known and investigators are trying to determine who owns the dog and why it might have attacked.

Two children are also believed to have been in the suite but police have not said who is now caring for the youngsters. (Global)
