  • Woman says she saw a man allegedly pulling down a young child's pants at a local business

On March 14, 2022 Richmond RCMP received a report of a suspicious circumstance at a business in the 14000 block of Triangle Rd.

According to the complainant, she was in a parent monitoring room of a local business when she observed a man allegedly pulling down a young child’s pants. The complainant viewed the incident through a television, which cycles through surveillance from various cameras located throughout the business.

The complainant stated it was dark and there were lasers operating so she could not provide a detailed description of those involved. The complainant did report the incident to staff who immediately turned on the lights and attended the area but did not see anything suspicious.

The incident took place sometime between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm. The incident was reported to police by the complainant at 9:24 pm.

An initial review of video surveillance of the area where the incident is believed to have occurred has been conducted but nothing suspicious was observed.
This is a very serious allegation and we are doing everything we can to attempt to identify those involved, says Corporal Adriana O’Malley.

Richmond RCMP are continuing to liaise with the complainant.

The business is fully cooperating with the police investigation and are providing any evidence that could assist in the investigation.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
