Woman Spat On, Has Hijab Pulled During Unprovoked Attack In London, Ont. Supermarket

    LONDON, Ont. — Police are looking for a female suspect after a woman was punched, spat on and had her hijab pulled in a London, Ont., supermarket.
     
    Investigators say the alleged victim was shopping with her four-year-old son late Monday afternoon when they were approached by a woman who began yelling at them.
     
    They say, On Monday June 20, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a female was with her four month old son, shopping in the Superking Supermarket located at 785 Wonderland Road South when she was approached by another woman, unknown to her.
     
    The unidentified woman approached the victim and began yelling at her for no apparent reason. The woman spat on the victim, then punched her several times. The woman grabbed onto the victim's hijab and attempted to pull it off of her head before pulling the victim's hair. The suspect then left area.
     
     
    The suspect in this matter is described as a female, approximately 5'5, 30-40 years old, medium build, approximately 150lbs, long black hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing a red Canada T-shirt and black pants, carrying a green purse. The suspect spoke with a heavy accent (unknown what language she was speaking).
     
    The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of this assault.
