Homicide detectives have taken over an investigation into the death of a 50-year-old woman in Chilliwack that they say is suspicious.
R-C-M-P say officers responded to a sudden death at a city home on Sunday where they found the woman's body.
They say the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking into what happened leading up to the woman's death.
Police are asking anyone who has information or who had recent contact with the victim to reach out to them.
One person has been injured in a shooting in Vancouver's downtown core, the second such incident in the area in less than a week. Vancouver police say officers responded to reports of shots fired at around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, and found a person with serious injuries.
Police in Victoria are looking for a suspect who drove a stolen vehicle into a residence, causing significant property damage before fleeing the scene.
