BC Lions Announce That Dorazio, Hairston, Bates And Paopao Won't Return

The Canadian Press, 06 Jan, 2015 02:05 PM
VANCOUVER — The B.C. Lions will have a new-look coaching staff under new head coach Jeff Tedford next season.

Offensive line coach Dan Dorazio, defensive line coach Carl Hairston, running backs coach Kelly Bates and receivers coach Joe Paopao will not return to the team, the Lions announced Tuesday.

"My thanks go out to each of these men for their time and their dedication to our club," Lions general manager Wally Buono said in a release. "We wish them the very best in the future."

The club plans to formally announce its coaching staff later this month.

Tedford was hired last month as a replacement for Mike Benevides, who was fired following B.C.'s 50-17 loss to the Montreal Alouettes in the East Division semifinal.
