The West Coast Kings Field Hockey Society announced the successful conclusion of the Canada Cup 2025. A four-day mega event, Canada Cup 2025, transformed Tamanawis Field Hockey Stadium into a true festival of sport and community spirit.

This year’s Canada Cup welcomed thousands of passionate spectators and featured action-packed hockey across all age levels and divisions. From juniors to masters, every game showcased remarkable skill, sportsmanship, and dedication.

Following is a a list of the winning and runner-up teams:

• U12 Champion: Wolverines Abbotsford | Runner-up: Gobind Sarvar
• U14 Champion: Gobind Sarvar | Runner-up: United Calgary
• U17 Champion: Gobind Sarvar | Runner-up: India Club
• +55 Legends Division Champion: Masters Canada | 2nd Place: India Club | 3rd Place: Dasmesh/West Coast Kings
• Social Men’s Champion: India Club | Runner-up: United Yuba Brothers
• Women’s Division Champion: West Coast Kings | Runner-up: India Club
• Men’s Premier Division Champion: United Yuba Brothers | Runner-up: Tassavar XI | 3rd Place: Winnipeg Rovers
Apart from the winning and runner up teams, the West Coast Kings Hockey Society also awarded individuals to celebrate their outstanding talent, including Jake Whetton Tassavar XI (Best Forward), Kaji Yamasaki Tassavar XI (Best Scorer), Maxi from United Yuba Brothers (Best Defender), Florian Simon (Best Goalkeeper), and Joep Troost (MVP). Jassy Mangat, President of The West Coast Kings Field Hockey Society was also present during the event.


A total of over $36,000 prize money was awarded to teams and standout players, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

The West Coast Kings Field Hockey Society extended gratitude to Dasmesh Darbar Gurdwara Sahib for providing free langar (community meals) throughout the tournament, exemplifying true community spirit and hospitality.

Udham Singh Hundal, General Secretary, The West Coast Kings Field Hockey Club said, “A sincere thank you to all the athletes, coaches, team staff, volunteers, dignitaries, spectators, and especially our generous sponsors for making the Canada Cup 2025 a resounding success. Your continued support makes the Canada Cup possible and allows us to celebrate and grow the sport we love at the highest level. Over four days of action-packed hockey across various age divisions, the tournament resembled a vibrant festival of sport, showcasing the passion and skill of players from around the world. We look forward to welcoming you all back next year for another unforgettable edition of the Canada Cup.”

 

“Despite the hot weather, the unwavering love shown by hockey fans — both in Canada and abroad — was heartwarming and inspiring. The atmosphere was electric, and it was truly a “mela” (festival) of hockey, where every goal and save was cheered with passion and pride,” added Hundal.
