Canucks Recall Defenceman Yannick Weber, Centre Alex Friesen From AHL Comets

    The Vancouver Canucks have recalled defenceman Yannick Weber and centre Alex Friesen from the American Hockey League's Utica Comets.
     
    The team announced the moves Wednesday night.
     
    Weber has appeared in 35 games for the Canucks this season, where he has five assists. He played in 65 games for the Canucks last season, scoring 11 goals and 10 assists.
     
    Friesen has 18 points over 41 games in his third year with the Comets this season.
