  • Fans buzzing as Blue Jays look for one more win to claim World Series in Toronto

Fans are buzzing in anticipation as the Toronto Blue Jays aim for just one more win on Friday to bring home a World Series title for the first time in more than 30 years.

The visiting Jays defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-1 on Wednesday, giving the Jays a 3-2 series lead in the seven-game series.

The Jays will now look to win one more game to hoist the Commissioner's Trophy in front of a sold-out crowd at Rogers Centre and millions of fans watching across Canada on Friday, with Game 7 set for Saturday if necessary.

Jays superfan Justin Pang says the team's playoff run "brings the country together at a perfect time," especially amid tensions with the U.S.

Meanwhile, fellow fan Fay Dietrich says she's been rooting for the Jays since their 1977 debut, and winning it all in Toronto would be "an uproar."

The Jays haven't won a World Series since 1993, when the team won its second of back-to-back championships.

First pitch for Game 6 is set for 8 p.m. on Friday.
