'Father's Day Pe Bete Ke Saath Khelenge': Virender Sehwag Ribs Pak After India Beat Bangladesh

    India cruised into the final of ICC Champions Trophy with a thumping nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh here today. The defending champions will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the title clash on Sunday.

     

    Needing 265 for victory, India chased down the target with 59 balls to spare at the Edgbaston. Earlier, sent into bat by India skipper Virat Kohli, Bangladesh scored 264 for seven in the allotted 50 overs.

     

    This meant that Sehwag had to say something and his tweet was targeted at Rashif Latif who had lost it over a Sehwag tweet.

     

    Former Pak captain Rashid Latif had lashed out Indian batting legend Sehwag after India’s lost to Sri Lanka in a video message where he slammed India. While Sehwag had written after India’s victory over Pakistan: “Pote ke baad Bete. Koi baat nahi Beta, Well tried ! Congratulations Bharat !#BaapBaapHotaHai #INDvPAK.”

     

    Following Latif’ 15-minute tirade, Sehwag had written: “A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words.”

     

    Now after the victory over Bangladesh, Sehwag wrote: “Well tried Pote. Great effort to reach semis.Ghar ki hi baat hai. Father's Day par Bete ke saath final hai. Mazaak ko serious mat liyo bete.”
