Sidney Crosby Returning Stanley Cup To Cole Harbour, N.S., On July 16

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 07 Jul, 2016 12:04 PM
Sidney Crosby is bringing the Stanley Cup back to Nova Scotia.

The official Twitter account for Crosby's hockey school announced Wednesday that the Pittsburgh Penguins captain would return the Stanley Cup to Cole Harbour, N.S., on July 16.

It's the first time since 2009 that Crosby has had the chance to take the Cup to his hometown.

The Penguins beat the San Jose Sharks in six games in June to capture their fourth championship in franchise history and Crosby's second.

The 28-year-old Crosby will also be bringing back the Conn Smythe Trophy as the post-season MVP after scoring six goals and 13 assists in 24 games.

After a slow start to the 2015-16 regular season, Crosby finished with 36 goals and 49 assists to finish third in the NHL scoring race.
