  • Vancouver supports efforts to 'Level the Field' and raise $5 million to make sport more inclusive and accessible in B.C.
With seven months to go until FIFA World Cup 2026™ the Vancouver Host Committee is supporting Level the Field, a registered charity, to raise $5 million to help make sport more inclusive and accessible for everyone in B.C.

“We want to deliver a legacy that reaches beyond match days,” said Jessie Adcock, Host Committee Lead for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver Host Committee. “Supporting Level the Field with this public donation campaign will help build a more inclusive and accessible future for sport in British Columbia and ensure this global event leaves a meaningful impact for generations to come.”

British Columbians can donate to ‘Level the Field’ at www.levelthefield.ca. All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support programs that expand sport access for equity-deserving individuals across the province who face the greatest barriers, including Indigenous participants, women and girls, racialized populations, 2SLGBTQIA+, low-income, newcomers and people with disabilities.

“Sport is essential to the wellbeing and social fabric of British Columbia. Amateur sport is a facilitator and a powerful lever of social change. It contributes to the social and economic health of communities and individuals in all corners of the province,” said Andrew Price, CEO of Level the Field. “We are honoured and excited to have the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver Host Committee support for Level the Field’s work to increase access to sport, especially for those who face the greatest barriers to entry.”

To help reach the $5 million fundraising goal, three special draws will be held where individuals who donate $26 or more will be eligible to be invited to a FIFA World Cup 2026™ match at BC Place Vancouver. A total of 26 pairs of invitations will be available:
  • 10 pairs of invitations to a group stage match
  • 10 pairs of invitations to a Team Canada match
  • 3 pairs of invitations to a round of 32 playoff match
  • 3 pairs of invitations to a round of 16 playoff match

The first draw will open on Monday, December 1, 2025 and close on January 5, 2026 with 10 pairs of invitations to a group stage match at BC Place Vancouver (Matches 6, 40 and 64) to be awarded to eligible donors.

Rules, regulations and eligibility are available online at www.levelthefield.ca.

“At BC Place we are committed to creating meaningful community benefit, not only by hosting world-class events, but by inspiring participation and pride across all levels of sport in British Columbia,“ said Chris May, General Manager of BC Place. “As the host stadium for FIFA World Cup 2026™ Vancouver, we are proud to play a role in growing the game, creating opportunities, and fostering a lasting legacy that will benefit athletes, fans, and communities across our province for years to come.”
