Vancouver Whitecaps Forward Kekuta Manneh Voted MLS Player Of The Week

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 May, 2016 10:54 AM
Vancouver Whitecaps forward Kekuta Manneh has been voted Major League Soccer's player of the week.

The 21-year-old scored twice and set up another goal in Vancouver's 4-3 victory at Toronto FC on Saturday.

Manneh opened the scoring in the 12th minute after jumping on a Toronto turnover and slotting home his second goal of the season.

After fooling a Toronto defender in the 70th minute, Manneh struck again to put the Whitecaps up 3-2 before feeding Pedro Morales for the eventual winner moments later.

It was the third multi-goal game of Manneh's career.

The Whitecaps visit the Portland Timbers on Sunday.
