Most Women Will Post Only Sixth Selfie On Facebook: Survey

Darpan News Desk IANS, 20 Apr, 2015 12:47 PM
If you are yet to figure out which selfie your girlfriend is finally going to like, read on. According to a survey, most young women will hit the delete button five times before selecting a selfie, which is good enough to post online.

"The sixth selfie is the one that women would use on an average, while men were happy with their image on the fourth try," showed the results announced by the London-based online marketing research company OnePoll that conducted the survey.

Finally getting a right selfie made 64 percent of women anxious, said the survey that involved 2,000 women, 2,000 men and 1,000 children aged eight to 17.

According to the findings, looking at selfies on social media made 41 percent of women and 26 percent of men feel bad about themselves.

Of the children, 79 percent said they were happy with their selfies, while 67 percent thought their pictures on the social media required improvement, Irish Independent reported.

Nearly 15 percent of women and 19 percent of men cropped or retouched pictures of their children before uploading on social media.

The survey also found that 33 percent of women were worried they were passing on body confidence issues to their children.

Nearly 41 percent of children did not think their mother was happy with the way she looked. The survey was commissioned by the ITV breakfast show "Good Morning Britain".
