Spark Gala 2018
The Spark Global Philanthropic Foundation’s annual gala took place on Saturday, May 26th at the Parq Hotel in beautiful downtown Vancouver, BC. The celebration attracted nearly 400 of the country’s top philanthropists, business leaders and dignitaries.
The night was an amazing success with over 1 million dollars raised! Proceeds from the gala support Spark’s empowerment programs that teach youth about philanthropy and support humanitarian aid and education for women, children and refugees worldwide.
Notable speakers of the gala included, Ravi Singh, the CEO and Founder of Khalsa Aid, an organization that promotes philanthropy by providing aid to victims of war, natural disasters, poverty, and unimaginable suffering.
Spark is proud to support his foundation and dedication to restoring hope, freedom and dignity to those who need it most. The night also highlighted the emotional journey of Shakila Zareen, an advocate and survivor of violence against women in Afghanistan. Shakila was excited to announce she will be joining Spark as a student in the 2018-2019 program.
