Vancouver Fashion Week Opening Gala
Vancouver Fashion Week – Opening Gala
Fashionistas from all walks of life flocked to the Opening Gala of Vancouver Fashion Week, which will be showcasing the gorgeous Fall/Winter 2014 collections of 60 designers from 25 countries.
“Every season Vancouver Fashion Week grows even bigger, with more designers from more countries, and creating even more partnerships from every corner of the globe,” says Jamal Abdourahman. “Vancouver is a hub for international people, and VFW is a great cultural celebration and representation of how diverse this world-class city really is.”
Darpan Magazine attended the Opening Gala and entering the Chinese Cultural Centre, you could feel the excitement in the air. Attendees were treated to the mesmerizing sounds of the piano and guitar, and the brilliant movements of flamenco dancers, as Les Noces Gitanes, Clare Young & Scott Meek and Alina Kozlovskaja performed for the hundreds in attendance.
The highlight of the evening was the fashion show, which showcased a stunning, fashion forward piece from each designer’s collection. Designers also took to the catwalk and it was great for Vancouverites to see the local and international designers come together in one night.
Running from Wednesday, March 19 to Monday, March 24, Vancouver Fashion Week will take place at the Chinese Cultural Centre at 50 East Pender Street in Vancouver.
