  • Evelyn Sharma faces harassment in hometown
Actress Evelyn Sharma, who is currently in her hometown Frankfurt, Germany, says she was harassed by a group of boys during her visit. She says she was surprised and shocked.

"It's has been one of the most shocking incidents in my life so far, especially because this happened back home in Frankfurt," Evelyn said in a statement.

"It's a little shameful that this happened in broad daylight, but luckily I could get out of there before things went completely out of control," she added.

A source close to the actress said that the boys started to click her photographs on their phone and refused to stop when Evelyn politely asked them to do so. When she retorted, the boys continued to follow her.

They are even said to have passed lewd comments, but Evelyn hopped into a cab and managed to escape. She conjectures that the boys were in their mid-20s.

A half-Indian and half-German, Evelyn has played noticeable roles in Bollywood films like "From Sydney With Love", "Nautanki Saala", "Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani", "Issaq", "Yaariyaan" and "Main Tera Hero".

"It seemed like they knew who I was, and I am still surprised something like this could happen so far away from Mumbai," said the actress, who was last seen in "Main Tera Hero".

Her busy schedule has kept her away from her family in Frankfurt, but she made sure to take some time out for them.
