  • I Am Conscious About Not Getting Typecast: Amy Jackson
Actress Amy Jackson says she is trying her best to do diverse roles in Bollywood to avoid getting typecast.

"One easily tends to get typecast here. As an actress, I am very happy with 'Singh Is Bliing' because that was totally different from what I have done before. I am very conscious about picking my roles and make sure that they are different," Amy Jackson told IANS.

She added: "I am conscious about not getting typecast, but obviously I have to keep picking up great roles so that I don't get typecast."

Amy started her career in 2010 with Tamil film "Madrasapattinam" and made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with "Ekk Deewana Tha".

The actress, who was last seen in "Freaky Ali", comes from a non-filmy background. She says she is satisfied with her career so far.

Amy said: "I am very satisfied with my career. I came to India with many dreams and I am pretty happy with whatever little I have achieved. I started with Tamil film then Hindi now I am also doing a Telugu film. The journey has been wonderful so far."

She will soon be seen in superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil actioner "2.0".

The actress, who is also the brand ambassador for Pond's Pimple Clear Facewash, said: "I am also happy doing regional cinema as they have great scripts and amazing stories to tell. I know a lot of filmmakers are taking scripts from regional cinema and make it into a Hindi movie. I believe the script is king."
