On World Bicycle Day, Sapna Thakur peddles down memory lane

Mumbai, June 3 (IANS) Actress Sapna Thakur says cycling always takes her down the memory lane, to the time when she got her first pair of wheels. The actress opened up on the subject on Thursday, on the occasion of World Bicycle Day.
"When it comes to cycling, all I can recall are priceless memories of my childhood. I remember I was in the sixth grade when my mother gifted me my first cycle on my birthday, it was a red Hero Jet. Six friends and I would ride our cycles to school every morning. This is one of the fondest memories I have of that time," she said.
"Even after so many years, I still have the cycle at my house in Chandigarh and whenever I get a chance, I would love to go cycling around the city. I really miss those days, especially my girl gang who I was extremely close to," added Sapna, who plays Samaira in the Zee TV show "Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti".
National award-winning actress Kalki Koechlin started shooting for the upcoming web series, "Bhram" on Wednesday in Shimla. She essays a romantic novelist on the show.
"I am making a film with Taapsee next. We will start shooting next month. I have to mention that Taapsee and Ayushmann are my favourite actors -- or stars, whatever you call them. I love them. Our thought processes are in sync with one another," Anubhav told IANS.
Actress Adah Sharma who is playing the leading lady in the new web series "The Holiday", says that she has never been on a solo trip because, for her, more than an exotic location, companionship is what matters when it comes to long-distance travel.
Netflix on Tuesday announced five new original series, exploring the worlds of deadly zombies, scary gangsters, stand-up comics and daring friends, in a bid to tell diverse Indian stories and reach out to the domestic market in a more aggressive way.
