Priyanka Has Put India On Global Platform: Madhur Bhandarkar

Darpan News Desk IANS, 15 Sep, 2015 11:05 AM
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says Indians should feel proud of his "Fashion" actress Priyanka Chopra for representing the country abroad.

"We should be proud of Priyanka Chopra because of her achievements. She has put India on the global platform," Bhandarkar told IANS.

His next project with the actress, who is currently seen in American TV series "Quantico", is "Madamji".

“The film is extremely close to me because of the kind of subject it is. Even for Priyanka, 'Madamji' is very important as she loves the subject of the film and is very excited about it, just like I am," said the director.

Also clarifying about the delay, he said that the "Dil Dhadakne Do" actress is busy shooting other projects. "I am looking for a 60-day schedule for the film. Once we both are free, we will start shooting."

For now, Bhandarkar is busy promoting his forthcoming movie "Calendar Girls", set to release on September 25.
