Actor Suniel Shetty has joined the micro-blogging website Twitter. He first tweeted to megastar Amitabh Bachchan - "the most special man in the industry".

The 55-year-old actor, who created his account on the site with the name Suniel V Shetty, was warmly welcomed by the Hindi film fraternity members like Ajay Devgn, Pritish Nandy and Tanuj Garg.

But he first replied to Big B, who had sent him birthday wishes on August 10.

Suniel wrote: “Amitabh Bachchan, making my Twitter debut special, with a tweet to the most special man in the industry! Thank you for the birthday wish, sir.”

Ajay welcomed “anna” and wrote: “Anna, welcome to the digital world Suniel Shetty”,

Nandy lauded Suniel's profile picture and posted: “Welcome to Twitter Suniel Shetty. The new look is super sharp.”

Suniel, who is following only six celebrities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is already being followed by almost 2,000 individuals.
