Was Scared To Do Romance: Kapil Sharma

Darpan News Desk IANS, 22 Sep, 2015 11:17 AM
  • Was Scared To Do Romance: Kapil Sharma
Comedian Kapil Sharma, who is venturing into Bollywood with his debut film "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon", says he was initially scared of doing romance on the screen.

He will be seen romancing Elli Avram, Manjari Phadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Sai Lokurwords in the comedy entertainer, but Kapil says he wasn't confident about doing romance onscreen.

"With my debut film, people were expecting that my film will have out-and-out comedy... yes, there is comedy, but there are some new elements in the film too. I am doing romance.

"I was a little scared doing romance in the beginning because I thought we are shooting in Rajasthan and these ladies are somebody's daughter and sister. But then I was told that this is just for acting," Kapil told reporters during the film's promotion here.

The actor added that the movie is "made for the audience, who have a lot of expectations".

Kapil stressed on the fact that he wanted his "dream debut" film to be a "clean comedy film".

"When I met Abbas-Mustan (the film's directors), I told them comedy can easily go below the belt... but I would want the film to be clean so that the film can be a complete family entertainer. And Abbas-Mustan sirs replied that they too want a clean comedy film," Kapil said.

Produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and Abbas-Mustan under their banner Venus Records and Tapes Pvt Ltd in association with Abbas Mustan Films Productions Pvt. Ltd., the film will release on Friday.
