David Beckham likes traditional Christmas

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Dec, 2014 01:47 PM
  • David Beckham likes traditional Christmas
Former footballer David Beckham says that he loves a traditional British Christmas.

"I have always loved Christmas. It's always been an incredibly special time for me and the family.

"I love all the traditions associated with Christmas - the old movies, Queen's speech, songs, turkey dinner with all the trimmings, TV programmes like 'Only Fools and Horses' and much more. Now it's all about the children and making sure they have a special time," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Beckham as saying.

Beckham has previously lived out of his home country of England -- in both Los Angeles and Madrid. But he says he would always insist that he, along with his wife Victoria and their children, come back to Britain to celebrate the seasonal holiday because of the unique way England does Christmas.

He said: "Even when we were in LA or Madrid, we would always come back to UK to spend Christmas here. This country comes alive during this time and this period is about sharing with loved ones."
