Lady Gaga Got Proposed With Candy Ring

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Feb, 2015 11:48 AM
  • Lady Gaga Got Proposed With Candy Ring
Actor Taylor Kinney proposed to singer Lady Gaga with a candy ring, before bringing out the real diamond one.

The 33-year-old actor popped the question on Valentine's Day and couldn't resist playing a prank on the "Applause" hitmaker, who was overwhelmed even with the fake jewellery.

"First he gave me a Ring Pop. That was kind of amazing and I was crying, I was so excited. I said, 'Yes' right away and then he pulled out the heart-shaped diamond. First it was candy. I was happy with the candy," Gaga told accesshollywood.com.

The smitten singer, 28, says that being engaged has made "everything better".

She gushed: "It makes everything better. When you're in love and have love it makes everything better."

Fans wanting to catch a glimpse of Gaga's engagement ring at Sunday night's Oscars were left disappointed as she teamed her custom-made Azzedine Alaïa gown with red gloves, but insisted it wasn't a deliberate move to hide the jewellery.

"Mr. Alaïa designed the gloves before we got engaged and I wanted to keep the look exactly as he envisioned it," she said.
