No hair dye for Cate Blanchett

Darpan News Desk IANS, 30 Dec, 2015 12:50 PM
Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett says she once tried to dye hair on her arm, but was left with unsightly orange and purple patches.

"Bleaching my arm hair in high school - it was copper orange in patches and purple in others. Never again," Blanchett told Allure magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The 46-year-old actress also shared that she lost some of her hair from stress when she played Blanche DuBois in a Broadway show.

Recalling the time she was asked to continue her run for three more months, she said: "I didn't think I could play her for another three months. I'd lost a lot of weight and my hair was falling out."
