Indo-Canadian actress Agam Darshi's directorial debut Donkeyhead is getting great reviews. Darshi's performance has been compared to Hollywood actress Ann Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married. Darshi has written, acted in, and directed the film Donkeyhead. The movie was released in the US earlier this year on Netflix. It will be released on Amazon Prime in Canada in the Fall.
Although "Piku" keeps you in "motion" for two hours plus, it is one of the most entertaining and enjoyable rides about life's fundamental needs, which you will thoroughly enjoy!
The script is packed with frivolous, laugh-by-the-minute gags that are below mediocre in presentation and projection. This film is a highly avoidable, unless you happen to be a Ram Kapoor fan.
The film may appear louder-than-life to the dainty-hearted. But the tone is unapologetic massy. You can't change the disintegrating social order by being subtle. Miraculously, Akshay Kumar does exactly that.
Unlike the Bhatts' last film Khamoshiyan which was unintentionally funny Mr X is not even that. It is punishingly bad. A crime caper that is likely to qualify as cognizable offence if stretch into, god forbid, a sequel.
