  • Digital Camera Ruining Travelling? Forget Camera, Live The Moment Instead
Do you often get lost in recording happy moments on camera while losing on the real moment itself? Get rid of this habit soon as an obsession with recording and sharing every moment could ruin your memories.

According to researchers, many people now use internet - or external memory - to remember happy moments.

By recording moments rather than experiencing them, people are less likely to remember them.

“People so often whip out their cameras almost mindlessly. When people rely on technology to remember for them, it can have a negative impact on how well they remember their experiences,” said Dr Linda Henkel from Fairfield University in Connecticut.

Earlier research showed that taking too many photos may prevent people from forming detailed memories.

Reviewing old photos can help us remember but only if we spend long time doing it.

In order to remember, we have to access and interact with the photos, rather than just gather them,” Dr Henkel added in the study published in the journal Psychological Science.
