  • Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside named Canada’s best ski resort
For the fourth year in a row, Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside has been named the best ski resort in the country. Held on November 19 in Kitzbühel, Austria, the World Ski Awards - known as "the Oscars of the travel industry" - honoured the all-suite, lodge-style hotel for its impeccable ski record, established infrastructure and outstanding customer service.

The World Ski Awards is a global initiative that recognizes, rewards and celebrates excellence in the ski tourism industry. Every year, judges assess and rank the world's top 25 ski tourism nations, granting awards in categories such as Best Ski Resort, Best Ski Hotel, Best Ski Boutique Hotel and Best Ski Chalet.

"We are thrilled to once again be named Best Ski Hotel in Canada. A World Ski Award in particular is such a prestigious recognition," says Lloyd Daser, general manager of Pan Pacific Whistler hotels. "It's also great to see fellow resort partners recognized at the awards. Honours like these motivate all of us to make the resort even better, so we can ensure skiers and boarders from around the globe continue to leave our home knowing Whistler is one of the world's best mountain cities."

Known for its iconic location, just steps to both Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas, Pan Pacific Mountainside provides guests with true ski-in, ski-out accommodation. The Mountainside's sister resort is the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre which, similarly to the Mountainside property, offers access to world-renowned skiing, hiking and mountain biking trails; spacious resident-style suites; and superb golf, fishing and other outdoor adventure, all complemented by fresh mountain air and stunning views.
