When Jatinder and Puneet Sandhar began planning their future together, they realized that Canada was the ideal country to start a new beginning as a family.

“We liked the wide open spaces, larger houses and the fact that our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren seemed less stressed than their contemporaries in the U.K.,” says Tirithdas.

“We have travelled the world; we wanted our son to experience the same. We wanted the Canadian citizenship for our family,” explains Sheriyar.

“We find Canada very safe and secure, especially for our kids,” says Harmeet

The Sahni family states that their experience adapting and growing in the country has been a roller coaster ride, with its fair share of ups and downs. 

Never give up in the pursuit of what makes you and your family happy. Try to always appreciate that as an immigrant, even 13 years on, you have to make the effort to create friendships as you’re the new guy!
