My first stop in España was the captivating seaside city of Barcelona, where you can get lost in the eclectic arts, culture and dining scene. 

With direct flights, usually under $1,000 depending on the time of year, the Island of Kauai in Hawaii is an easy escape, with just the right amount of calm should you need it, and many options to be adventurous.

With so many picturesque spots, it’s hard to pick just one on-bended-knee moment, but it’s recommended to stop about halfway along on the Paekakariki Trail, just outside Wellington. Choose between the very top of the Devil’s Staircase with impressive views of the Kapiti Coast, or in the middle of one of the breathtaking swing bridges along the way. 

 

Though Van Halen sang it metaphorically, today, on the World Jump Day, one can take the liberty to imbibe these words literally.
