Calling it AAP’s deep-rooted conspiracy to humiliate farmers in Punjab, state BJP President Sunil Jakhar on Friday said it was at the behest of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that the state was held to ransom and allowed to bleed financially and economically for 400 days for a sit-in protest.

The process of transferring seven associates of radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, who were arrested under the National Security Act (NSA) at Dibrugarh Central Jail, to Punjab, is approaching completion, officials said on Wednesday. The seven aides of Amritpal are set to be handed over to the Punjab Police team by the Dibrugarh jail authorities.
