Salary, Allowances Of Punjab MLAs To Be Put On Website

IANS, 26 Apr, 2017 01:01 PM
The salary, allowances and reimbursements received by Punjab MLAs will now be displayed on the official website.

The information pertaining to immovable properties of all MLAs and MPs will also be put on the government website.

An order has been issued in this regard by the Punjab government, a senior government official said today, adding the general administration department has also written to the state Assembly in this regard.

The Congress had promised that the salary, allowances and reimbursements received by MLAs would be updated every month on the official website. It had also announced that all MLAs and MPs would declare their immovable properties annually.

"The government has also issued orders in connection with fixed working hours for police personnel," the official said.

Last month, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that his government had decided to implement a fixed schedule for the police, except in case of emergency, to improve their working conditions and allow them to spend more time with their family.
