Darpan News Desk IANS, 20 Mar, 2019 07:16 PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday wished the Hindu community in Pakistan "a very happy and peaceful Holi".

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also took to Twitter to wish "happy Holi" to the Hindu community.

Holi marks the end of winter and the start of spring. This year, the Hindu community across the globe is celebrating the day on March 20.

Leaders and celebrities in Muslim dominated Pakistan this year have gone an extra mile to express good wishes and solidarity with the Hindu minority in Pakistan.

PML-N President and Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif also greeted the community "on the festive occasion of Holi", media reports said.

In his message, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi prayed for "peace, joy and prosperity" in the community.
