  • 2 people in custody after shots fired in Newton

Surrey RCMP were on scene in the Newton area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 5:41 pm on August 20, 2021, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 13700 block of 70th Avenue. A male was located suffering from serious, life threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital. Two individuals are currently in custody.  

 The incident is not related to the ongoing Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
