48 year old Abbotsford resident Inderjit Sandhu charged in the death of female Kamaljit Sandhu

IHIT has identified the victim and has laid charges in a deadly Abbotsford assault that took place Thursday night. 

On arrival, Abbortsford Police found a 45-year-old woman with serious injuries and she died at the scene. 

Police found a 48-year-old man at the scene and took him into custody. 

IHIT is working in partnership with AbbyPD, the AbbyPD Forensic Identification Section (FIS), and the BC Coroners Service.

On Friday, 48 year old Inderjit Sandhu was charged with first degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Kamaljit Sandhu.

The accused and the deceased have two children, ages 16 and 21, who are now with their extended family.

"This was traumatic to all the family and neighbours," said Sergeant David Lee of IHIT, "support services and resources are being made available to all those who need it."  

This investigation is ongoing and the  matter is now before the Courts.

The photos show Jordan Daniel Goggin wearing two outfits during the course of the shootings, which began around midnight and lasted nearly six hours before police shot and killed him. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team describes Goggin as a six-foot-one Caucasian man, weighing 150 pounds, with light brown hair and a slight goatee.
