R-C-M-P say a woman's body has been found in Waterfront Park near downtown Kelowna on the shores of Okanagan Lake.
The Mounties say they're working with the B-C Coroners Service to identify the woman and determine the cause of her death.
Her body was found at about 7 o-clock this morning.
R-C-M-P say an update will be provided once available.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan says the evacuation order for more than 1,300 properties and alert for about 850 of them remains unchanged as the White Rock Lake Creek wildfire continues to burn.

Witnesses intervened and came to the aid of the older victim, then called Vancouver Police. Responding officers were able to arrest the suspect before he left the area. Neither victim suffered serious injuries.
