  • Broad daylight shooting in Maple Ridge leaves man dead

On Friday, at approximately 11:45 am, Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to the report of a shooting in the 11900 block of 216th Street.

Via release, Mounties say they arrived on scene to find a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Police attempted life saving measures on the man until BC Ambulance Services arrived to continue; however, he was later pronounced dead.

Road closures are in effect due to this incident. 

It is still in the early stages of the investigation and at this time, it is unknown if this is related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
