A 28-year-old man who went on a multi-day crime spree in Burnaby and Vancouver last year has been sentenced to three years and two months in prison.
That's on top of time already served.
Hayden McCorriston pleaded guilty in December to numerous charges, including sexual assault, assault by choking, and robbery.
Those offences were just some of the more than a dozen Mounties say McCorriston committed between March 31st and April 3rd of 2022.
Several media reports say the officer was killed while assisting a bylaw officer at a homeless camp site. Federal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said he was devastated by the news of the loss of the officer in the line of duty.
