New Westminster Police are seeking witnesses after a person was assaulted by a group of young people onboard a bus.
Police say the victim suffered minor injuries from the incident, which happened around 6:30 p-m Sunday.
They say the group fled the scene before first responders arrived.
Sergeant Andrew Leaver says in a news release that police believe other people were on the bus at the time and are asking people to come forward to describe what they saw.
Benjamin Kohlman, 43, pleaded guilty in September to arson charges for setting three fires within an hour, two in North Vancouver and one in Vancouver. Crown attorney Jonas Dow asked for a prison sentence up to five years, while the defence called for a two- to three-year sentence.
