A man has been charged after police in Vancouver seized a large number of weapons from an apartment following an investigation into an alleged domestic dispute.

Const. Tania Visintin says the "very dangerous" weapons included shotguns, knives, a Taser and pepper spray, along with a gun cabinet, ammunition and rifle cases.

She says officers responded to a 911 call on Jan. 26 after a witness reported hearing a man and woman yelling for 45 minutes.

When officers began to speak with the pair, police say they saw the weapons and returned with a warrant.

Visintin says officers seized the weapons, and police are pleased they are off the streets.

A 37-year-old man=, Darryl Teal, has been arrested and faces weapons-related offences.
