Calgary Boy, 11, Missing Since Friday, Fell In River At Yoho National Park

  • Calgary Boy, 11, Missing Since Friday, Fell In River At Yoho National Park
FIELD, B.C. — Parks Canada is leading an extensive search for a missing 11-year-old boy in southeastern British Columbia.
 
Parks Canada says a boy fell into the Yoho River in Yoho National Park on Friday evening.
 
Golden Search and Rescue, RCMP and local emergency services conducted an aerial and ground search of the area until 10:30 p.m.
 
Officials say the missing boy is from Calgary.  
 
He was last seen falling into the river near the Takkakaw Falls day use area.
 
The search resumed at daylight on Saturday is ongoing.
