Police in Abbotsford say a 32-year-old man has been arrested after causing a head-on collision with another vehicle on Mission Bridge this morning.

They say that around 12:30 a.m., an officer tried to stop the driver of a Mustang for a road violation, but he did not stop and fled the scene onto Highway 11, where he crashed into the other vehicle.

Police say the man was arrested at the scene and was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

They say the driver of the second vehicle was also brought to the hospital, and investigators are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage of the area to reach out.
